If you do not feel like going anywhere, Zanzibar is the easy choice. It is about a five-minute walk from Carpe Diem, and you can see the harbour from the veranda.
There are four jetties and 70 mooring places. This is a working sailing marina, not decoration next to a restaurant. There are boats, crews coming back off the water, a harbour master and staff. You can walk in free of charge and simply see what the harbour is doing that day.
The wooden tavern stands right on the lake. It is a proper restaurant with table service: food, soft drinks, alcohol and draught beer. We usually come back for the pizza. It is very good, and we can comfortably recommend it as the best in the immediate area.
The best moment at Zanzibar usually comes in the evening. Over the season there are a dozen or so live concerts, most often sea shanties, sometimes leaning harder into rock. There is no guarantee of music every day, but when it plays, the harbour comes into its own.
That is why we recommend Zanzibar as the first address for an evening out. There is no plan to make and no car to get into. You put your shoes on, walk for a few minutes, and you are at the tavern on Tałtowisko.
