Evenings in Masuria (the Masurian Lake District) have a rhythm of their own. From the terrace, where you only need to sit down, to a handful of spots by the water nearby — a few minutes by car. The map shows where to settle in for the evening.

The terrace and garden by the house
One of those places where slowing down takes no effort at all. A deckchair, space and Masurian quiet do the rest. The last light slips behind the treeline, and the evening reminds you there is nowhere you need to hurry to.

Mrówka bay
A quiet bay north of the house, a short drive away. Fewer people and the water close by — for anyone happy to spend a few minutes in the car in exchange for calm.

Public beach — Stare Sady
A public beach in Stare Sady, a few minutes south by car. Easy to reach with an open view over the water — the comfortable option when you want to walk straight down to the shore and wait for the sunset.

Good to know
When to head out
In summer the sun sets late (between 9:00 and 9:30 pm). It is worth leaving the house about 40 minutes earlier.
In spring and autumn — earlier (check the current sunset time in your weather app).
The most striking colours appear 15–20 minutes after the sun itself has gone down — do not head straight back inside.
