Water, kayaks and yachts

From Carpe Diem you are close to the most beautiful river in Masuria (the Masurian Lake District) and to its marinas. A kayak trip from Ukta and a yacht charter in Ryn or Mikołajki — all within a short drive.

A kayak trip from Ukta — the Krutynia

Your Krutynia adventure begins in Ukta. It is one of the most beautiful kayaking routes in Poland — a river framed by dense Masurian forests and the lakes of Warmia, where the silence is broken only by the splash of paddles and birdsong.

The Ukta — Nowy Most stretch covers about 7 km of the wild Krutynia as it flows through a nature reserve. It takes roughly two to three hours at a calm, unhurried pace.

  • Easy access — just a 30-minute drive from Carpe Diem, with no long journey to worry about.

When to go

  • The best window is June to August — water temperatures around 18–20 °C and long, sunny days.
  • It is worth planning a riverside stop for a picnic — this is not a trip from “A to B”, but an experience to slow down for.
  • In the high season, book the kayaks in advance — particularly at weekends.

Motor yacht charters — Ryn and Mikołajki

From Carpe Diem it is just a 30-minute drive to the marinas where you can hire a motor yacht on the Masurian lakes. No long journey — straight onto the water.

Ryn — Eko Marina

  • A good choice if you would like to hire a motor boat or a houseboat for a cruise across the Masurian lakes.
