Story

Morning at Tałtowisko

You wake earlier than the rest of the house. Lake Tałtowisko is 300 metres away. You return at a different pace.

Story

You wake earlier than the rest of the house. The kitchen is still quiet; on the stairs you hear only the wood under your feet. You can make a coffee or step straight out, before the day has a chance to pick up speed.

It is about 300 metres to Lake Tałtowisko. A short walk, but long enough to change gear. You pass houses, greenery, a stretch of road, and after a moment you are at the water. In the morning the lake often looks as though it has not yet decided whether to wake up. Mist holds above the surface, the banks are empty, nobody strikes up a conversation.

There is no grand beach scenery here. There is a quiet public beach, water, reeds, silence and the kind of simplicity that is hard to find later in the day. You can sit for a while, get into the water, or simply look.

You walk back at a different pace. Inside, someone is already putting the coffee on, someone is coming down the stairs, the day begins as usual. But you already have your first Masurian thing behind you.
